Here at Carter, we love kids!!!
We offer a wide range of children and youth programs at Carter Memorial UMC that allow children to explore their faith using their natural creativity, energy and curiosity.
Sunday school classes are available to children starting at age 3 through junior high and take place during the worship service. Our devoted CORI screened Sunday School teachers use art, video, music, games and play to teach the Bible stories and offer a positive Christian learning experience for all ages. Safe and loving Nursery care is available to our youngest members from 1-3 years of age.
Children will have other opportunities to express their faith through seasonal activities. Summer Vacation Bible camp, taking place at the end of June involves a full week of activities, snacks, stories and games using a fun theme to teach kids all about God’s great love for them. Our annual Christmas Pageant is a special tradition of the church which offers kids the chance to tell this timeless story of our Savior’s birth through their own expression of song, prayer and drama.
Youth Group is available to kids starting in grade 5– 12 and involves a wide range of activities. Many of the events are strictly for fun and include bowling, laser tag, skiing or just hanging out together. Additionally, our young adults will have opportunity for mission projects lasting from one afternoon to a full week.
The Carter Memorial UMC is pleased to truly offer a safe and nurturing home to kids of all ages. We offer our children the opportunity to be involved in the planning and leadership of activities and support the ideas that they bring forth.
