What is Bread of Life?

Bread of Life is a ministry that encourages God's unconditional love through fellowship, friendship and a free community meal, honoring each other's sacred worth.

The first and third Tuesday of each month, beginning at 5:30 PM, we come together to serve a meal to local residents from Needham and the surrounding area at no cost to our guests.  Volunteers work diligently to set up a pleasant and welcoming environment, offering prayer, a nutritious meal, and friendly conversation to our guests.

In addition to the physical needs of our neighbors, we, as Christians, recognize a spiritual dimension to human suffering.  Understanding that there are an increasing number of seniors in our community who are without companionship, we provide "bread for the soul" as well as a nutritious meal.  Infants to seniors, the guests who join us each week have become their own special "family" of caring friends.

Can I Come?

Anyone is welcome at BOL.  We serve a wide variety of individuals - from families with children to seniors.

Can I Volunteer?

YES!  We are always in need of volunteers.  The work is light, the company is fantastic, and the feeling you leave with is heartwarming!  Contact Pam Hurd  (hurdplh@aol.com) if you would like to sign up.
