Saturday, April 3-Holy Saturday/Easter Vigil
Easter Vigil 6:30am Saturday – 6:30am Sunday
It was a heavy, dark, painful day. Jesus had been crucified and laid in a tomb. His followers wept, unsure of what was to come, but certain that the sting of loss and grief was overwhelming. While we know that the Easter sunrise brings with it the promise of resurrection, we are also all too familiar this year with the weight of grief and pain.
This Holy Saturday, we will be holding a 24-hour prayer vigil around a firepit at the church. Individuals or family units may sign up to spend an hour tending the fire, praying, and bearing witness to the light that continues to shine through the darkness. Prayer cards and other prompting materials will be available, and staff will be on hand to help care for the fire. On Easter morning, our undying flame will fade into the glow of everlasting life at our sunrise worship service.

Family Egg Hunt Experience – Saturday 10:00am – 12:00pm
As followers of Christ, we often find ourselves seeking… seeking hope, seeking love, seeking peace. Families with children of all ages are invited to a very special Easter egg hunt experience that combines the spiritual seeking of Holy Week and Easter with the classic fun of candy-filled eggs. Pick up a map and list of clues near the Easter Vigil fire pit, then set off on a journey of seeking and sweets. After you have collected your treats, return to the firepit for family-centered prayer activities to help prepare for the joy and Alleluia of Easter. Masks and social distancing required. While an RSVP is not required to attend, kindly email email@example.com to let us know how many to expect. Friends and neighbors welcome!
For families who are not able to participate in the hunt experience, a drive-thru pickup of bags of eggs and Easter activities will be available from 11:30am-noon.
Youth Fireside Lock-Out – Saturday 7:00 – 10:00pm
Bring a lawn chair, a blanket, and a mask as we gather around the firepit. We will have time to check in and pray, as well as s’mores and lots of outdoor games. What better time to bring our community back together! All youth in grades 6-12 are invited.
Sunday, April 4 – Easter Sunday
Join us at 6:30 AM for a sun rise service on the church property. Bring your own chair if you wish to sit; we will be following the CDC guidelines of masking and social distancing.
Easter worship will be at 9:30 AM via the zoom link and on FaceBook.
