Children

We offer a wide range of children and youth programs at Carter that allow children of all ages to grow in their faith.

Nursery Care Nursery Care: At this time due to Covid there is no nursery care available.

Sunday School Join us via zoom at 8:45 am
Children age 3 through grade 12 are invited to participate in our innovative, experiential Sunday school program. Our experienced Sunday School teachers use music, art, science experiments, theater activities, culinary lessons, games, and much more to offer a fun, positive Christian learning experience for all ages. Our custom, rotation-based curriculum means there is always something new and exciting happening in Sunday school that helps children connect their faith with their daily lives. Children and youth begin their morning in worship and move to Sunday school following the children's sermon, approximately 10 minutes into the service.

Children at Carter also have many other opportunities to engage their faith throughout the year!

Carter Corps Designed especially for children in grades 4-6, the Carter Corps is a child-focused and student-led mission program. Bridging the gap between children's Sunday school and youth programming, the Carter Corps gives kids a chance to put their faith in to action. The Corps meets twice monthly to discuss the challenges our world faces and the work that we, as Christians, are called to do in God's Kingdom. Past projects have included food drives, a Fair Trade holiday fair, short-term mission trips, caroling to area nursing homes, and a charity fun run.

Vacation Bible Camp An annual favorite, Vacation Bible Camp takes place at the end of June. Children ages 3-grade 5 and their leaders dive in to a new and exciting theme each summer for a full week of stories, games, crafts, mission projects, experiments, and fun that teaches kids all about God's great love for them. VBC is open to the community and is a wonderful way to connect with Carter.

Christmas Pageant Our annual Christmas Pageant is a special tradition of the church which offers kids the chance to tell this timeless story of our Savior's birth through their own expression of song, prayer and drama.
